"Quiet the mind, and the soul will speak."
~Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati
The holidays can feel hard for many of us, whether we have had a recent loss or not. What better way to navigate the tender terrain of these continually uncertain times than in a community of kindreds interested in exploring their own inner landscape alongside the outer celebration and joyful tidings of the season.
When we stay close to the changes within us with the new cycle – this winter being a fresh look at our unique experience of winter for all the years we've been alive – we can more fully embody the possibilities of the seasonal shift. Coming together in the spirit of creative exploration offers an opportunity to tune into the soul’s longing for this next turn and to be curious about your response to it – what is available when we give the soul space to inform our next season of growth? Together, we will create a rich, welcoming space where all of who you are and who you are becoming belongs.
Creative process, not product
Healing lies within the space of self-expression; knowledge of self within the curiosity to engage. A writing group of this sort is not about product, but about the process of coming together to willingly explore our inner landscape. No writing experience is necessary -- just a willingness to engage and explore your own experience.
Format
We will meet on Tuesdays from December 13, 2022 - January 10, 2023 from 5:30pm-7:30pm (central time) via Zoom. Our time together will consist of a reading to center us on the topic of the evening, a grounding meditation, writing prompts for exploration, and time to share discoveries or insights with the group, if you so choose. For our gatherings, bring a notebook or journal, something that feels fun to write with, and a cup of something delicious to sip on.
Cost
The fee for our creative exploration together is $88 (USD) payable via Venmo (@Christy-Marek-1) or PayPal (@tendinglife). If you are interested in participating but don't use Venmo or PayPal, please let me know and we can make other arrangements. The fee covers all five weeks, however, you are free to come as you are able – prompts for missed weeks will be shared following each gathering. Our Zoom link will be provided upon paid registration.
