Magic and wonder surround us in every moment. Sometimes we just need to remember, and be willing to open to seeing and experiencing it. The ability to practice engaging with our own impermanence enables us to live more fully in each moment, while easing our discomfort with death and dying, and uncertainty in general.

It is my joy to facilitate healing circles, speak in the community, share my meditation project, The Mirror, and to offer creative opportunities for engaging with the universality of death as an invitation to live a brighter, more meaningful and vibrant life now.

Does this sound intriguing? I would love to explore the possibility of bringing this work to you and your group!

Summer Loving Writing Circle

Summer. No matter your experience with this time of the year, thinking about it invariably evokes images of romantic picnics and a refreshing dip in the lake, the excitement of camping and promise of leisurely sunset strolls, Sunday afternoon barbecues and spontaneous gatherings with those we love. When we stay close to the changes within us with the new cycle, we can more fully embody the possibilities of the seasonal shift. Coming together with a community of kindreds at this time in the spirit of creative exploration offers an opportunity to tune into the soul’s longing for this next turn and to prepare your response to it – what is available to us when we give the soul space to inform this next season of growth? Together, we will create a rich, welcoming space where all of who you are and who you are becoming belongs.

No writing experience is necessary – just a willingness to explore your own experience.

The Quickening

The Quickening is a soulful collaboration between Tending Life at the Threshold and Spirited Transformation.

Fellow heart-healers Liz Coenen and Christy Marek are joining passions for ritual healing, creativity, ceremony, and the natural world with this gathering called, The Quickening - A Beltane celebration to ignite the light within.

The Celtic festival of Beltane celebrates the union of the sun's light from above with the light of the waking earth below, and the light within all living things. We invite you to join us in circle for an evening of exploration of what it means to be in relationship with Nature as we all ignite in the fullness of Spring. Together, through gentle movement, guided creative process, and sacred ceremony, we will nourish the quickening of our inner light, in concert with the rhythms of nature. Come prepared for an evening of connection and discovery.

No experience with circle is necessary – just a willingness to explore your own experience.

Home of the Heart

You are invited to come together in community for creative exploration of how we hold our experience of feeling at home within ourselves and in the world. Using inquiry as a doorway, we will discover how long held beliefs can keep us in patterns of experience that no longer serve us. From there, we tap what is possible when we choose to write a new story and see it come to life on the canvas as a means of fostering fearless belonging in our lives.

No previous background with writing or painting is required to join us – just a willingness to explore your own experience.

This turn of the Celtic wheel, between July 6 and September 21, brings us out of the full light of Summer Solstice and into the Autumnal Equinox, midway to Winter Solstice. It is a time of movement through the long, life-sustaining days of summer, into the harvest of fall where we begin to recognize and reap the many gifts of our meditation practice in preparation for the movement into the dark of the year.

Engaging together at this time, as the amount of daylight continues to grow and reaches its peak at Summer Solstice (June 21), allows us to utilize this natural flow of energy from Mother Earth to sustain us in our practice, just as the energy we create together becomes an offering to her and all of her inhabitants.

Open-Soften-Allow: Allowing Grief to Come Close

I will be speaking during the first week of the Growing Through Loss series, on the topic of Open-Soften-Allow: Allowing Grief to Come Close.

When we experience deep loss, we can feel adrift on the sea of the unknown. Grief has its own rhythm, pattern, and timing, rising up and falling away when we least expect it, completely out of our control. This level of uncertainty is more than a little disconcerting, causing resistance and fear. If we can reframe that discomfort and consider leaning into our pain rather than fighting against it, resistance and fear eases, bringing with it the opportunity to discover an opening for peace in the grieving process.
